A new planning application for the installation of 20 solar panels on agricultural land in a Hatherleigh field has been submitted.

The application was received on September 17 for the site, Strawbridge Stables, Hatherleigh EX20 3LQ. The public consultation date begins on Sunday, September 27 and runs until Thursday, October 1, 2026.

Applicants Mr and Mrs Bowden seek planning permission to erect 20 solar panels on the site which is currently 57 square metres of agricultural land.

The site is to the north of Hatherleigh and just south of Honeydown plantation, it’s also close to what is considered a wildlife “habitat ‘network”.
