Both seasoned and novice runners are being invited to put their best foot forward for mental health later this month.
Charity Mind Devon is holding its Plymouth Harbour 10k on Sunday, September 27.
The community event, sponsored by Cattewater Harbour Commissioners, starts at Mount Batten in Plymouth at 9am before following the South West Coast Path through Turnchapel, around Hooe Lake and through Radford Park Woods. Runners will then continue through Oreston and across Laira Bridge before heading through Cattedown, around the harbour, finishing on the Barbican at Commercial Wharf.
Cattewater Harbour Commissioners return as headline sponsor for this fourth Plymouth Harbour 10K.
Captain Richard Allan, chief executive and harbour master of Cattewater Harbour Commissioners, said:“The Devon Mind 10K Plymouth Harbour Run has become a highlight event in our calendar. We're proud to be sponsoring the 2026 event and to continue our support for Devon Mind. The run enables runners, volunteers and spectators to enjoy the route around Cattewater Harbour and learn more about the work we do in the port and for our local community.”
The Plymouth Harbour 10K is a non-competitive, accessible community challenge, with no timings recorded and no rankings published. It is open to runners of all abilities, including those taking on their first 10K.
Every entry will raise funds for Devon Mind’s services across Devon, helping people experiencing mental health difficulties access information, advice, support and opportunities to improve their wellbeing.
Olivia Craig, chief executive of Devon Mind, added: “The Plymouth Harbour 10K is a fantastic opportunity for our community to come together, raise vital funds and help break the stigma surrounding mental health. Everyone who signs up, volunteers or comes out to support the event plays a vital role in helping us reach more people and make a lasting difference. We’re so grateful for your support and hope you’ll join us in making our 2026 10K our biggest and most impactful yet.”
