YESTERDAY morning, Devon fire crews responded to a vehicle fire on Dartmoor. The indicent that was believed to be accidental occured at around 10am yesterday (October 31).

Crews were mobilised following a call to Control informing of a lorry on fire. Crews from Tavistock, Yelverton and Plympton stations attended the incident. Upon arrival crews confirmed that a generator compartment from a roll on / roll off HIAB was well alight. During the incident crews used: two hose reel jets, one main jet, two thermal image cameras and small tools.
