Nobody has seen a period of almost two years like this before but there is one thing that has not changed; the lights on the Christmas trees on the front of Tavistock Town Hall have twinkled brightly representing treasured memories which help the Lions Club of Tavistock raise much needed funds for worthy causes. Despite the uncertain times, the lights have been as bright as ever this year and are sponsored by individuals or families remembering special people and special memories. The charities, all local, which will benefit are Children’s Hospice South West, St. Luke’s Hospice and Derriford Children’s Cancer Service. All of the sponsorship money that has been kindly donated will go to these charities and the Lions Club are able to do this thanks to the generosity of Morris Bros (Tavistock) Ltd who cover all of the costs incurred.
